Reserve Joins

Reserve joins are a predefined set of numbers that correlate with specific programming signals. Reserve joins are used when providing custom programming feedback (states and events) between the touch screen and control system, such sending a custom alert message or toggling the screen saver.

Reserve joins can be coded into CH5 directly to expand and further customize the UI functionality. A CH5 reserve joins database is maintained that provides the following information for each supported join:

  • State (Touch Screen to CH5): Lists the reserve join name if it is used for CH5 state. Click the join name to copy it to the clipboard.
  • Event (CH5 to Touch Screen): Lists the reserve join name if it is used for a CH5 event. Click the join name to copy it to the clipboard.
  • Reference: Provides a link to external decontamination that describes the purpose of the join and lists any programming considerations
  • Touch Screens: Lists the join number and the touch screen models that support the join.

Additionally, the following filtering tools are provided:

  • A menu is provided on the left side of the page that lists supported touch screen models.
    • Fill or unfill the check box next to a touch screen model to show or hide the joins for that model from the list.
    • Tap Toggle Menu to show or hide the touch screen menu.
  • Tap the Digital, Analog, or Serial radio buttons to show the reserve joins associated with the selected signal type.
  • Enter a search term in the search field to filter the joins by that term.

Known Limitations

Older TSW-x60 firmware versions did not implement the reserve join names listed below correctly. This issue has been fixed as of firmware version 3.000.0014.
