REST API for HD-MDNXM-4KZ-E Switchers
Crestron® HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E switchers are 4K60 4:4:4 HDR (High Dynamic Range) AV switchers that provide a cost‑effective solution for professional AV applications. Equipped with HDMI® inputs and outputs, the HD‑MDNMX‑4KZ‑E series includes features such as automatic input switching, EDID management, HDCP 2.3 compliance, enterprise-grade security, and XiO Cloud® service support.
This documentation describes the REST (Representation State Transfer) interface for the HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E series of AV switchers, called the HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E REST API. REST is a set of constraints for architectures that typically communicate over HTTP.
NOTE: This document is current as of the HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E version 1.2.4671.00060 firmware release.
The HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E REST API binds to the HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E device as a new transport interface (much like a direct transport interface or a serial join interface). The REST API layer provides a translation from the HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E device. Web server requests are stateless, and all stateful information is maintained between the HD‑MDNXM‑4KZ‑E REST API layer and device settings. JSON interfaces called CresNext objects are used as the messaging protocol to send and receive data via the REST API.
